Child sponsorships

Applications for sponsorship to attend Matamata Christian School are submitted through the Sponsorship Application Form adjacent.

The applicants letter should include sufficient detail to allow full consideration of the application.

This should include the reason sponsorship is required, the term required (up to 12 months), and how much the parents can afford to contribute.

The applicant commits to paying any part of Attendance Dues not covered by sponsorship, and sundry school expenses such as uniforms, camp fees etc.

The applicant declares that all information submitted in this application is accurate and true, and agrees to notify the KOTRF immediately, if for any reason they should no longer require sponsorship so it may be redistributed.

Conditions

Applications are submitted on the Sponsorship Application Form opposite which is directed to the school Principal.
Sponsorships are provided on the recommendation of the Principal, and the approval of Kid On The Rock Foundation.
Sponsorships are to be provided only on the basis of the financial need of the parent(s) of the recipient pupil/s. They are not to be provided for academic, artistic or sporting prowess.
Sponsorships are provided on an annual basis for a term of up to 1 year and must be re-applied for each year. Under exceptional circumstances sponsorships may be provided for a specified term longer than 1 year.
Sponsorships are provided subject to the availability of sponsorship funding and sponsorship may be withdrawn if the student fails to comply with behavioral standards.
The provision of sponsorship does not guarantee continuation of sponsorship in subsequent years.
Sponsorships will be funded from donations made for this purpose, or donations made for use at the Trustees discretion.
Applicant family and sponsored child details will be kept confidential at all times and only be made known to those receiving and considering the applications, and those dispensing funding. For endorsement and reporting purposes, names of sponsored children and families may be made known to the Foundation Council and the Association Proprietor Board.
As a condition of all sponsorships the parents of the proposed recipient must:
1. accept the terms and conditions of this policy
2. agree that the Foundation may, at it’s discretion, make discreet background inquiries regarding details provided in any application.
3. agree that progress reports may be made to the Foundation and general details of sponsorship may be used for publicity purposes. (Personal details will be kept confidential)
