Introducing Kid On The Rock Foundation
The Kid On The Rock Foundation is an independent charitable trust that was established by the Matamata Christian School Association in 2009. (Charities Commission registration number CC43100)
Purpose:
While acting independently of the Matamata Christian School Association, the Foundation's purpose is to support Matamata Christian School in the accomplishment of it's goals as envisioned in it's vision and mission statements.
Trustees:
The Foundation is administered by a council of from six to eight Trustees, whose role is to provide sound leadership and governance. One trustee is nominated by the Matamata Christian School Association, and the remaining trustees are appointed by the trust.
Trustees are appointed for a two year term, which may be renewed for a further two years.
Funds:
A long term goal of the Foundation will be to establish and grow a capital fund that will yield a continuos flow of income that can then be distributed according to the needs of the school.
In addition it is anticipated that the Foundation will provide support for more immediate projects and activities, possibly including providing books and educational resources, providing computer, other electronic and non electronic class room equipment, financial assistance to students in the form of scholarships and care and improvement of buildings and grounds.
